Ministry to Children & Families

Nursery (ages flexible based on needs)

The nursery is provided for the duration of the entire worship service. There are plenty of books and toys for the children to play with, and cribs are set up to enable nap times as they are necessary. Each of our nursery workers is carefully screened so that you can be confident that your little ones will be safe, happy, and have fun while you enjoy fellowshiping with other believers, worshiping and learning of Christ together.

Sunday Children’s Bible Classes

9:30 Prayer Meeting: Age 3 – 6th grade

We have 3 children’s classes available during our Sunday morning prayer meeting where your children will learn about and pray for God’s Kingdom work around the world.

  • Age 3 – Kindergarten
  • 1st – 3rd grade
  • 4th – 6th grade

10:30 Worship & Teaching Service: Age 3 – 3rd grade

As the sermon time begins during the worship & teaching service, the children in grades 3 & below may be dismissed for a children’s Bible lesson with our background checked, skilled, & trained children’s workers. If you’d rather keep your children with you during the sermon time, you’re more than welcome to do so. We do encourage families with children to take advantage of this opportunity, though. Parents are more free to listen to the preaching of God’s Word without distraction, which helps them become better parents, and children get to learn and experience God’s Word taught and geared to their age level. We have two separate children’s classes during the worship & teaching service.

  • Age 3 – Kindergarten
  • 1st – 3rd grade

Redeemer Rangers: Age 3 – 6th grade

On the first and third Wednesdays of the month, the children in preschool – 5th grade meet at our church building from 6:30-8pm for a time of learning, Scripture memory, crafts, games and other fun activities. It’s a great opportunity for these children to learn about the Lord, memorize Scripture, learn how to apply it to their lives, and build relationships with each other.

GC2: 7th-12 Grade

GC2 exists to promote and cultivate God-honoring, gospel-driven relationships among young people, faithfully focusing on the Greatest Commandments (love God; love others) and the Great Commission (go and make disciples).

Our GC2 group consists of young people in grades 6-12, meeting regularly for the purpose of building relationships among one another as we fellowship around God and His Word.

Philosophy and Practice for our Ministry to Children & Families

One of the realities of life and ministry within a church is the presence and involvement of families and children. There are varying opinions among Christians as to how the church and families serve each other and function together. Some minimize the God-appointed role of the church, while others minimize the God-appointed role of the family. As with every aspect of church life and ministry, the Bible must be the guide for a church’s philosophy and practice of ministry to families and children. God has provided sufficient information in his Word to develop such a philosophy regarding how children are to be viewed, how they are to be instructed, how families and churches relate to one another, and how children are to be included in a church’s gatherings.
